PII Study Trip Cambridge 15 and 16 May 2019
Register now for the PII study trip taking place on 15 and 16 May to Cambridge.
Please see attached brochure for an overview of the trip.
Cambridge has been the fastest growing city in Europe for nearly every year in the past 30. Housing growth is extraordinary with 73,000 homes planned around a city that had less than 40,000 homes. It is achieving this through integrated planning of new transport links and compact higher density housing. The latter requires innovative 2 and 3 storey house types because most of Cambridge’s population don’t want to live in apartment buildings.
Homes England, UK Government’s delivery agency for new homes, will also be meeting us to discuss their housebuilding delivery strategy, plus their role in Cambridge’s growth(the agency has just unveiled the UK’s largest factory-built housing scheme since the 1960s)
The booking fee includes:
- site visit and tour costs
- transportation to/from airport. Please note: airport transport can only be provided for flights arriving to Stansted Airport before 10am on Wednesday 15 May. Transport from other locations or at other times cannot be guaranteed and it will be up to individual attendees to arrange transport to the first visit site.
Flights are not included in the price.
Participants are asked to select their accommodation when booking. Please note that there is limited availability in Anstey Hall and there is a €100 supplement for University Arms.
